Hey, if the music is good I don't care what genre it falls under. Theres good bands and bad bands that fall under that category...same with every other category
 
Sorry what I meant to say was fuck core music, its too mainstream now days. I only like to listen to bands where all the original members are dead, that way I know they are underground ;)

Really though everyone is entitled to their opinion...don't see what my join date has to do with my music taste though :Smokin:

I don't even know what the funk it means, all I know is its gay, except for hardcore but I mean the good hardcore stuff like bad brains not this 'I fucked my mom in the ass and now shes a bear' bands...

Although it may seem that comment was directed at Gregg, it actually wasn't. I've never heard of any of those members who created these said threads, so if they chime in I dare say they are slightly biased!

And if you noticed I hadn't clicked on them and they are still crowding our vision.
 
Over saturation of anything gets really annoying....rate my mix forum has been stale for awhile with this stuff. And not be unfair but a talented -core band is USUALLY very hard to come by, seeing as it's mostly 16-20 year olds playing this stuff. It would be cool to see more variation in there...and to be honest I have to bust into prejudice mode and say I would prefer if there were more metal mixes than core.

I have to say im not purely bashing on this genre, its more the fact of the amount of it and how it seems to have engulfed everything on here.

I've bitten my lip alot on this subject....even if "thrash" mixes were being posted constantly id still be like...wtf?

I guess im not a fans of trends.
 
I really don't know what it means exactly, is it just another tactic for kids to make genre names longer? Along with sticking another genre before and after it? Along with if it was pre or post Jesus' birth?

Post-traumatic-melodic-hardcore-straight edge-deathcore....with a hint of emo-clear-edge-core?xxxfanks
 
Isn't the generic titles that are the real problem?
What if Splatt or Bob Black Neon or someone created a new account and released an album full of win but the title was:
Genericore (pod, sd)
Would you find it?

Yeah I really don't like the constant labelling that's goes on everywhere. Isn't Metal enough?
