Corset Night?

Ok, just bringing this up to the top again. We're going to have corset night, again on Friday night. Picture time I'll let someone else decide on, but let's keep it in the same place - by the bar at the top of the stairs - so everyone can find us.

And FYI- tank tops are not corsets.

Am I the only person who dosn't think that corsets are a big deal? Sure, the ladies of Progpower will be stunning, but I'm sharing a room with a dude, and more prog/power metal females are allready snagged, so it just seems like a bit of a false hope.

might I suggest this store http://www.trashy.com It's a shop in Hollywood and despite their name they do make some wonderful corsets, costumes and of course Lingerie.
corsets can be found by clicking the lingerie. Be sure to check the sale's because they've got some great stuff and fabulous prices!

They are well known for making the Pamela Anderson Barbed wire suit as well as costumes for all of Heff's girls.

I was lucky, I had a friend who had two real corsets, one was over $500 and the one she let me borrow was about $300.. and we wore them to see Rhapsody. I was going to pay her for it.. but.. I don't know what happened to her. I think she was sent back to Venezuela. So since I can't reach her, I have a really expensive corset.

But you know, I wouldn't pay that either.

A good solid corset that is well made is NOT cheap - especially if you get them custom made to your measurements and use good quality materials - and no, I wouldn't spend the money if you're just going to wear it to ProgPower. You can get a halfway decent one for about $70-100, though; see heavyred.com for examples.

There are a few of us so don't worry (I'm sure you weren't, but you know)... I still harbor bitter bitter memories of organized dressing from Middle School days and I don't think I want to see me in a corset even if I didn't.

On the flip side, fake corset tank tops are fun. and cheap. and comfortable.
And I've never exactly dressed up for a show before, so i figure it's worth the experience. once. ;-)
