FLAC import! It's about bloody time. I'm sick of keeping all my reference records in .wav format, eating up HDD space.

EDIT: I'm confused. They appear to want me to pay for this. It is a point release, correct - I'm not having a stroke here?

Yeah, there's a big thread about it on gearslutz already. They are putting out a version 6.06 so those that don't want to pay for the upgrade still get the bug fixes. Should be out next week.

Still, this is completely ridiculous. If they were going for new functions worthy enough to pay for, they should at least have saved that for the next major upgrade, where paying wouldn't have been such an issue. I don't feel like paying again for a software version I already own, just to have a couple of new plugins (that I would probably not use that much) and a some new minor functions (a lot of people could live without, I'm sure).

FLAC is about the only compelling feature in the update. I wish they'd break out the synth stuff into a separate product.

Would've made sense to have the bug fixes, FLAC support & combined hitpoint/audiowarp panel in the point release, and saved all the bloatware for the next full release.

Hmm might be time to upgrade from 5. It's no different than if I upgraded to 6 earlier.

I agree though, $50 for a point upgrade seems like nonsense to me.

Absolutely nothing about this appeals to me as a 6.03 user. I want nothing but the FLAC support, bugfixes, and soundcloud stuff, but even that isn't worth paying $50 for.
