Cubase 7 is released!

Anyone notice better performance with 7?

In 6, I can have the performance meter pegging at 100%, but the actual CPU usage is around 50%.

Can anyone confirm if you can still save/load mixer channels? There's a whole bunch of talk about how that's not supported anymore. How in the hell is someone supposed to mix an album worth of songs without being able to save their channels?!

Good lord the new mixer is a gigantic improvement.

I thought the window was the only thing that you could re size... NAY you can resize anything inside the mixer as well.

Best facking daw mixer EVAR.

I enjoy it. Much like reaper with the inserts rack. Anyone know if you can just copy inserts to other channels? (not just insert settings...)

I've got Cubase 7 working flawlessly on WinXP. =D

Takes a little 'nerdy' workaround, but I'm loving it so far.

Also just installed the new 7.0.1 update. 7.0 was stable for me after doing a little stress testing a 7.0.1 seems to be a little more of an improvement.

I wouldn't mix an album or do any serious work with it yet but holy FUCK the mixer rules. I LOVEEEE the new channel strip. The comps are punchy as hell and the limiter is really cool on drums....

Impressed as hell so far. And it seems I've had NONE of the issues that everyone on OSX or Win7 has had; oddly enough ahahaha...

even all of my plugins scanned and load up just fine. ever more archaic freeware stuff runs just the same as it did in 5 or 6

Does anyone know how to contact Steinberg support if a country that you live in is not supported? :ill:
They don't have an email or anything like that?

Try the MySteinberg area on their website. Just register with a different country I guess. There's a contact form that you'll have to fill out and they will get back to you.

I did in 2008 and I know about the contact form. Never cross my mind to register with a different country, I'll see if I could change that. I just asked out of curiosity "what if" I ever need their support.
Thanks!

EDIT: Can't change country region... "For legal reason you can't change your country. Please contact our support team if you moved to another country"

Well, that's what I need, "SUPPORT TEAM" I can't contact...

This is one of the best new features of cubase 7:

Also the chord track stuff is really nice, I can't play piano for shit. Really liking this upgrade.

Ah shit, that would be funny if it wasn't so bad... What country are you from anyway?

I've been in contact with the support team a couple of teams and I've always gotten their emails via info@... I'm pretty sure they'll help you out if you email them there directly if you ever need it.

I have to admit I was wrong. Even tho I generally hate novelty when it comes to DAW, It is much better than I expected it to be .
