Damn it

ah.....so two people is enough?

I think they should be sticky. Following the survivor now is quite confusing if there are several threads on at once. If people are really against this, then we could reach a compromise by reducing the amount of survivor polls sticky at once if it really does bother some?

i think Ormir's right: in this way the survivor is much confusing (i'd preferred if the polls stayed on top), but if someone is disturbed by its massive presence on top of the page, maybe we reach a compromise (i'd like to hear Villain's opinion).

Miolo

I preferred them on top too, now it's very confusing and ppl won't even notice the survivor or know where they've voted and where not.

Maybe we should make a poll about this. :p

right now i know of four people who are pro the sticky threads (siren, ormir, miolo and seventi who was btw the only one to reply to my suggestion in the first place) and of three who are against (misanthrope, zodi and fathervic).
in the end i'll go with the majority, because i think it's of very little importance. everybody else just post here what they'd prefer. silence = i don't give a damn. in a week i'll count the replies again.

however this turns out, anyway, i'd like to point out again that some balance and sense of proportions when addressing such a trivial and fairly insignificant matter - as mel wisely noticed - would be appreciated. people threatening to stop posting here (or slitting their wrists, or listening to slipknot, or wearing a pink hat) if they don't get what they want - whatever it is - are just being petty. it's a fucking "best song" survivor poll with barely 50 voters per round. people made some effort to make it entertaining and (just like me) they're not earning any money or publicity or fame out of this. try to respect their work, and if you think this is something really earth-shattering for good or for bad, close your eyes and it will disappear.

I have an idea.... dunno if this was mentioned b/c I kinda skimmed the past few posts but:

how about, the individual polls could be "un-stuck," but there could be a sticky topic up top that has LINKS to all the individual threads? ...eh?

Btw, did i mention that if things don't go my way i'll cry endlessly, refuse to eat chocolate for exactly 3.5 minutes and dye my elephant blonde?

Siren (highway)

@Sun: It was either me or him... I'm sorry, however much i might love him, i couldn't do such a thing to myself, besides i'm much smarter than him..(erhm?).....

Siren (plz draw it and show it us too)

So let see, if Mis can come here and bitch about the 4 polls been sticky and get them removed, when he hasn't posted here in ages and those 4 sticky don't even affect anything, what does one have to do to make them sticky again?

I think it's totally ridiculous that they are no longer sticky, they hard enough to follow even when they are sticky.

If Mis is going to quit posting cos of them being sticky that is his choice, I think removing the stickies for his pleasure, when he doesn't even post here (this was the first time I have seen him post in ages) is rather harsh.

Now I could have remained silent, but as it seems you have to voice your oppinions on everything here for anything to happen, one way or another. Rahvin is the moderator here, I think if he decides to sticky something then that should stick, one person bitching about it shouldn't change that. Hell this be a lot different place is all my bitching would be taken into concideration.

Just my 0.02 euros

@salmy: i asked if ppl wanted the threads to stick. one user replied. i thought it was no big deal if i stuck them then: apparently nobody was bothered. then i read a thread were three users complained audibly about the threads being sticky, so i thought: what the bu, if they don't want 'em so let's remove them.

as for ppl having to voice their opinion, it would be far easier for me to just stop asking, but i thought showing some consideration of what users are interested in would somehow pay off in the short and long run. was i wrong?
will it work better if i wake up tomorrow and just make everything happen without consulting anybody? let's try.

i'm gonna stick those damn threads to the top, and rotate them when polls close. you can all come a-knocking at my door tonight with a petition to unstick them and still i won't, because:
a. i sleep soundly
b. i'm not spending five minutes more pondering the destiny of those threads
c. before there's enough of you agreeing on the content of any petition i'll be a grand-grand-grandfather.

@rahvin
Good, stick em up (um, not sure if pun intended  ) and leave em there, the thing is, those threads are not going to stay there for longer than the polls run, so the way I see it, keep them up until it's done, it's not like it's permanent, so people can quit whining right now ;)

As for what comes to asking if to sticky them, I must have missed that, but I would have of course said go with it :)

I still think linking them all up to one "official" thread at the top would be a nice compromising, satisfying the people who want it up top as well as keeping the jackals off poor ravhin's back..

I didn't even realize it was a big "issue" though.. seems kind of inconsequential to me. I thought this thread was just a big joke... *shrug*

@Biatch: But then we'd have to click one more time... life is short, let's not spend it like that. :p
