@biatchguy: i'm sorry i didn't give you proper credit before: it was a nice idea, although for some (newbies, particularly) unlikely to reduce confusion dramatically. for now i'm leaving things as they are, but if - say - villain comes up with the text for a thread summarizing the polls' rules and linking to the current rounds, i might change to that solution. on the other hand, it seems to force upon villain some extra work, and this idea's value is limited to the earlier phases, when there are actually four polls running together.

But seriously i dont know why i get flamed, i just feel like im having a goddamn school test whenever i see all this polls, and no i dont post as often because:

a) too manypolls
b) too many loooooong threads i cant keep up with
c) Not that much freetime on my hands lately.

misanthrope, the ones you criticized are the only polls around in a while. and i'm sorry, i didn't mean to flame you as such, it's just that in a couple of occasions your comments here would have been appreciated (not about sticky threads, about ppl spamming/trolling/not behaving) but you were nowhere to be seen, and it seemed sad that you came back just to complain... ;)

@nick: can't merge four polls together, sorry. the 20 options limit still stands: 80 options = 4 polls = 4 threads, no way around this i'm afraid. :s

@ormir: the idea of a sub-forum is interesting. after all niklas won't be back before we're well into december. :p

When he returns in horror to what you have done, you could compensate by creating a sub-forum for the mindless adulation of Niklas Sundin, adored by a countless number of love slaves obliging to his every whim in flaccid obeisance?

I did not posted since i was/still are annoyed by the forum appearance. I now understand everyone is trying to tell me that since i got away because i disliked the forum i no longer get to say that i dislike it. Have a nice fucking life then.

dunno about everyone. what i'm trying to tell you is it was a bit sad that you didn't intervene in a couple of unpleasant situations long before the survivors ever got started.

Must I? you sound like you take the forum cop jokes too far, i have an unpleasant time on those and i refused to read them, the polls i find unpleasant but if they werent attached to the top i would ignore them too. I only complained because they are really making the forum harder to read, harder than it already is, if i was already pissed off with the forum because of the current state, is not all the sudden because of a couple of polls, its because of everything but this is like the most annoying of them all to me.

That i choosed to keep my fucking mouth shut to avoid people is my problem, what it aint my problem is that everyone has this set rules of the ammount of post and the % of bitching you need to have a valid opinion.
 
i'm not sure i know what this last part (especially) was about. if you have complaints it'd be better to talk about it. that is, if your aim is for things to be more to your liking.

as for the rest, of course you didn't have to take part in any discussion. much to your surprise, i would have liked to hear your opinion because i generally tend to be interested in what you say and the reasons why you say it. however, this is already "courting" you too much: your opinion about the polls was taken into consideration, and the same goes for the forum as a whole. now i don't really think there's anything more to retort.

it shure came into consideration, but it also came at a prize, because everyone went ahead pointing out how i havent been around that much implying i only come back to complain and what not.

I did came back and i did complained, but its unfair to see that as a wrong thing imo, why? because i already stated that if i havent posted in the first place is because i did not wished to become a member who only post to complain about things, but since this was something i really thought worth mentioning i pointed it out. It gets annoying when you got everyone's finger stucked in your face because they expect me to complain on a regular basis and not just from time to time, its just odd.
 
ok, i understand your point. i can speak only for myself, but i did not mean to say your opinion was to be discarded on account of you not posting here or not posting here enough. i merely wished to express disappointment: when i saw you posted a new thread - before reading it ;) - i was quite happy since i thought you were sort of "back". that you came up with such a grave statement ("it's either me or the polls") was a let down, because it seemed to me you were determined to complain about something debatable, that noone took so seriously in the first place. while - as i said - a couple of situation in the past could have required more the kind of vibrant replies that made you known all over ultimatemetal. ;) this is not because i took anything too far, namely jokes, but you yourself have played the trolling rascal molesting newbies more than once, and nobody - except the victim :p - complained.
to cut a long story short, i'm sorry you don't like this board anymore. the polls are going to decrease in number shortly, anyway, and maybe when they've dwindled to one or two you won't find the situation altogether unbearable. at the moment, i cannot but act accordingly to the will of the majority, since we're not talking about something that breaks any forum rule. :erk:
