I am assuming it is, but can see any name on it....

Was Scott still lugging out the Dean ML on the last tour?

That wasn't a Dean. It was the Washburn Southern Cross Dime signature model (same shape as the ML). I don't remember him using it on the last leg of the US Tour.

Jackson ain't nothing special anymore. They're owned by Fender who are too big for their britches.

Had an SG...beautiful guitar, but stock pick ups aren't metal enough...not high enough output.

i still love thehigh end jacksons, lot of cash tho, but nowt beats that jj2, just love it

whats the esp viper like ( yuo know the sg clone)?!?!!? defo want an sg shape/ neck, know what you mean about the output on the gibsons, summink would have to be done if i went that route........

The LTD Viper is an excellent value(The actual ESP Viper is much pricier)...the middle of the road and the higher end models have active EMG pickups. Great output, very metal. Not my cup of tea(I'm a Seymour Duncan man all the way), but the rest of the axe is very nice. Solid instrument! If I was in the market for that style guitar, I would buy a Viper before an SG...more bang for the buck! Beware of the lower end Vipers with the bolt on necks...no where near as nice. Go to the ESP web site and check them out. You can also get them in a baritone or a 7 string.

hey nice one for that, i have been looking at the esp site, and there is defo a big price difference huh between their top end and mid range guitars....... ever since fluking a jj2, i'd never go back to a bolt on neck again to be honest, so stinky......has to be straight thru all the way.... so with the jj its not like i am in any rush to get a new guitar ( cos i love it !! ahhh) , but shit i do love the sg look...saw c.o.c. this week and the amount of cool looking vipers on display , frankly made me moist :)

was very interested in the sound stuff tho so ta for the review, have to start saving the pennies for the next one..........s'gonna be pricey to get one of those bad bays........had an ltd explorer, wasnt big on it at all, so has to be esp ( my wallet weeps)

Yer, I agree - professional artists like Scott and Dan generally will go with a company for a good reason.

To be honest, I think the PRS and also the general set-up of pedals/amp's that Dan is using sounds better than the 80's Jackson/Marshall sound, so why go back ?

I thought the Jackson Roads that Dan played looked great (especially the turtles one), but their is more to a guitar than it simply looking good.

his new one is def a PRS.

Scott confuses the hell out of me. He used to play Jackson, right? Then Washburn, now Dean or am I way off? That guy has had more sig series with more companies then I can keep track off. His Jacksons were cool as shit. I loved the half fretless one - wish I new where I could get one made like that. His newer Jacksons were awesome too. Then there was the Matrix guitar, now he has his guitar with the thraxagram inlays. Damn, Scott!

Nah, I am thinking that Scott will stay with Washburn for a while now

Hey, dude...he gets free guitars...as long as they sound good and play nice, who cares what name is on it.
