Dark Tranquillity in Greece?

@Alfred: Oh, well, i can't say... Maybe i'm wrong :)
But you were there when they played Zod. Light, so if you remember those words, that must be when they said it... :)

It's indeed nice having you back :)
And for once i agree with rahvin on the adventuring part. :p

@good_son: Yeah, it was a big shock for me, not just the gig but the whole evening. ;) I'm now officially losing it, i'm constantly with a big grin on my face, with sudden changes of emotions, and everyone thinks i'm nuts :)
Oh well, first day after the show i was completely blown and 10 feet off ground, 2nd day i had severe concetration problems in any other subject different than that and was 5 feet off ground, today i was just 1 foot off, with my mind some inches above my head, and kept talking for 3 1/2 hours to a friend, me, the rarely speaking girl
Obviously the symptoms are starting to diminish, but some permanent defects should be expected, since the damage is already done. ;)

As for special moments, i really liked the response of the crowd at Punish My Heaven, Lethe and Monochromatic Stains (in the latter cause it was a bit surprising for such a new song imo). ThereIn still makes me chill. The stop in the middle of Zod. Light plain :headbang:ed. Format C was a nice surprise since it's one of my favourites. The growled "white noise/black silence" intro in the song with the same name. Clean vocals and Mikael's singing overall.. Jivarp's speed at points. And of course Alfred's arrival :D

Anyway, it'd be easier for me to pick out my least favourite moments, since they were just Indifferent Suns, The Sun Fired Blanks and the missing clean-sang intro from Insanity's.

the constant talking defect has taken its form in me too!but this is not the case,i feel more energetic and somehow waken up by that night,it has revealed much that werent seen before(poetic) ;)
insanity's was a bit of a surprise,so i didnt care for drawbacks at the time, but on the other hand...why dont they get a female on the shows?there are so many "double" songs that happen to be excellent(undo, gallery,of M burning and of course insanity's crescendo)
it would be exceptional perfomed live by two voices....
hm, i remember the first sounds from the wonders at your feet as utterly sweet!(you know, the electronics whatever)the crowd went wild immediatelly, like this song is made for an opener!
i forgot that stop on Z light! amazing...
i clearly heard mikael on both hedon and zod.light say:''this one is from enter suicidal angels",i pressume he didnt change his words in...atene.funny,he?this absorbed me to miss the intro of hedon, trying to figure out what he said:)
i kinda enjoyed the sun fired blanks, there is a part at the middle of this song i really like....
there were weak moments, but after you've seen the singer of entombed in his dirty motorpenis tshirt, that somehow sums it up.

@good_son: Oh, well, after listening to entombed for a few minutes, i realized exactly what makes DT so special ;)

Siren (duh, learn how to growl)

since i didnt know much of the band entombed(apart from the opening song which i dont like),and having heard DT first, eventually it seemed a lost cause.but they had two or three songs that...didnt annoy me:p so i might check for their cds after all.
the gap between the two bands was like heaven and hell(or this is too close? ) and someone had told me that entombed play melodic death,i'm still dreaming their melodies.did you notice the guitarist was like a football player?no image at all, apart from the other stuff.
(the review was made by a cruel greek soul:devil: hey,am i the good son or not?)

i didn't notice them, i just noticed the singer's attempt to growl.. he was more like shouting tho

i just enjoyed immensely dt's logo on the wall being seen under entombed's one

Edit: typo

bubububu :D
:hotjump:

always late (yet better late than ever) i'm back to share my memories from the DT gig in Athens with you :)

heheh I had a wonderful time!!!!!!!!!!!
(Siren  thanks you for everything :) )

well well,it was my 3rd time seing Dark Tranquillity...so to be honest i didn't pissed my pants... (maybe it's because i'm get older and dull :p :D )....i was a good kid,no headbanging and other cannibalistic acts, yet i had a wonderful time.... and i once more i found out what a wonderful band DT is... i'm really impressed by their performance...and even though i knew what to expect, once again i found myself quite amazed....Once more it was proved that DT is a great band...and even if one doesn't like their music or get sad about the direction they have taken one can't deny the fact that they rule, their music is truly beautiful...
it's definitely worth seing this band live!!!
ehmm......as for entombed and candlemass... (read the following quote...it totally represents me ;) )

i just watched 5 minutes of Entombed and 2 minutes of Candlemass. I know, shame on me, but my company was much more interesting than both those bands and especially Messiah.

btw, nope they didn't play the Hours....it's just the side effects of the gig :p
yet you are right about Hedon....there is was when he said sth about Suicidal angels....probably because the song starts that way....... ufff,i barely understand what singers say at gigs...

okey,i'm shutting up now :D

yeah, what a voice!sore throat at its best...well,he was squezzing it all out that was the problem...mikael seemed relaxed instead.great, just great!everytime i think of the gig again, i get those goosebumps:)

saved sth to do the next time i guess...
