David Bendeth Drums for Steven Slate

Your name is David Bendeth and my 'greatness' has nothing to do with my ability to criticize this drum package or another mixer's work. Not to mention there's a link in my signature to work I've done.

What I 'went on' to do was live a normal life that didn't involve getting into anonymous pissing matches with middle-aged men.

So for anyone doubting, I had a minute to read his past posts while my hard drive was backing up.

A little birdie told me about this thread. Gotta clear some things up.
1.The sn and kik are cool from Paramore on the steal site, but what about the room and OH? Not easy to match it exactly.
Also you really do have to use a different snare as source as it gives you the right length and attitude for the track.

As far as UO goes there was no OH on the drive so that really sucked. Had to wing it. :loco:

Check out the new Cavo, Breaking Benjamin for some new snare sounds and also some new compression, I try not to slam the 2 buss too hard. more like 4-1 not 8-1, I think I only did that once and it sucked, no headroom.:OMG:

His first post, coming into the discussion as soon as his name is mentioned(ego surfing?) He also "had to wing it" on the Underoath album because the hard drive didn't have overheads.

am I missing something here, or did he just use "I" when referring to the Breaking Benjamin mix?

Did you hear it yet? Or are you just guessing?
I mean Between Breaking Benjamin and Cavo there are only so many bands you can have in the top 10 at once at rock radio no?
How many have you had this week?

He likes to call people out when they bad mouth his work.

NONE of his snares sound the same to me in any way. You need new speakers. For snares that sound the same see Chris Lord Alge and Andy Wallace. That is the same snare on every track. None of Bendeth's records sound the same to me at all.

again, jumping into the conversaion as soon as "David Bendeth" is mentioned in a post.

I went through most of his posts, and literally all of his replies came in after his name was mentioned.

This is kind of hilarious.

I'm sad because I held David Bendeth to a higher standard to this, but I'm also extremely amused. It's like watching a train wreck happen...tragically amusing.

Not only does he seem to only post in Bendeth-related threads (it's seriously 99% his posts), but he is always so irrationally defensive when anyone says something negative about Bendeth. The only other person that would react that way would be his mom. You aren't fooling anyone David, just admit it. Also, quit being such a douchebag. It's ok for people to not prefer the work you do. You bash CLA's productions a lot - how is that any different?

Had a read through your post brian and one of the comments looked quite familiar. Turns out I had a run in with "eddie" back in 2009.

Thought I'd share.

The lolz.

More related to the thread, I'll probably pick this pack up at some point. As usual I think the demos just don't do it justice.

I would like to remind everybody that this is a lesson on how not to act like a professional in public with the power of the internet.

So I liked the demos and bought the expansion.

2 kick drums are actually one kick drum with plastic and felt beater and 3 snares are actually two snare drums, but one has a version without the snares.
Geez, thanks, Steven and David. So much for $99.

Thanks for the heads-up. That's super disappointing.. this whole thread is. He even called CLA's mixes "sterile". :D

So if he did a paramore record, wouldn't he have won some sort award for making the most cliche sounding pop rock record ever? I mean there certainly seems to be a never ending train of nut swingers on that band in this forum alone (or tit swingers if you prefer).

I mean why on earth would you give a fuck what the internet says about your work if you are recognized for it? Shit is lame as hell.

As for the drums in question, I went and listened. Not my cup of tea but I'm sure they will sell a ton of them if he is a name with some people.
