Dead Can Dance

I hope to see them live someday soon. Iofthestorm---How much did your tickets cost?

And I must say I am impressed with you guys for liking DCD. Very cool of you.

While Lisa Gerrard's solo efforts, though beautifully tender and all, tend to wear thin after a dozen spins, DCD just never grows old, and has charisma for sale for every other band around trying so hard to ape them for decades. They're genre-defining, I s'pose...

so...

good band? i guess? i'm a bit late to the party here :D

edit: also late to the "welp, i guess all arcana and elend's ever accomplished is ripping off this band completely" party

Some of their stuff is very emotional and intense. Other stuff you might hear at a Renaissance fair (though they never get too dancing-midgets-with-bell-caps-on either).

Aion is probably my favorite.

no surprise, nice and clean, as cosmopolitan as it gets (too much so perhaps), very much an exercise of style. Won't get crazy about this but it's ok, as expected. I'll have bigger expectations on stage!

Dammit. My internet here is too shitty to stream this. Will have to wait until I get back home. :(
