Deliberating 5150 I and 5150 II

hehe, awesome... here's to pouncing on one in the next few days! :kickass: - gonna need a 2x12, so a 2nd hand marshall 1936 with g12-75s will be great i guess.

if possible, see if you can find one of the jcm2000 series 2x12 cabs...they go for around the same price used, and their sound/construction are MUCH better than the 1936 IMO

just a suggestion; they're kinda rare to come across, but they're one of marshall's true jems if you find one

ok, i'll look out, thanks cobra! How about the jcm 900 1936? Im intrigued as ive got a jcm 1960b 4x12 and i wonder whether they're exactly the same as a normal 1960?

to my knowledge, nearly all of the 1936 cabs are made of MDF rather than plywood (the 1960 cabs are plywood with particle board backs)

the jcm2000 series 2x12 cabs are identical in construction to the 1960 cabs

i had a 1936 cab a while back, never looked to see what it was made of but it sounded like a total turd...i got a good deal on it ($150) and turned around to resell it for the same price after about a week

maybe something was wrong with that one, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth :puke:
