Dethklok Deth - Most copies for a metal band this year?

I don't like death metal too much, even though it led me to black metal a long time ago, but I do dig some albums here and there.

Dethalbum is great fun. Nothing new, but who cares? Metalocalypse is fucking cool!

I downloaded an episode of Metalocalypse, and i must admit, it was very bad. I believe the Dethalbum is also worthless crap.

There needs to be more solos, the riffs often get rather overpowering and repetitive. Still good, though.

I bought the album during christmas for my boyfriend. I live in NJ and I swear every store had it which surprised me because i cant even go down the block without seeing a metalocalypse shirt. I even bought the DVD for myself. There was so many copies lying around in almost every hot topic, walmart, target and more. I swear even the grocery store was caring it for a second.

Is this "band" really all that different from the comical death metal bands out there? I mean, if you didn't know it was a cartoon, I think it's likely people would be taking it as seriously as Mortician, Impaled, Fleshcrawl etc.
