What's so wrong about it? I can see how people might think the sections are too drawn out, but I really love every second of it. If Opeth came to me and told me to put together a greatest hits CD for them, I'd put Dirge for November in there, not only because I love it, but to make anyone mad who doesn't love it. Haters, you all.
The intro is probably the best vocals + acoustic guitar only sections Opeth has ever done, to my ears. The next part is some nice guitarwork and very pleasant to listen to (although it does get a TAD old..). I love how it explodes into the heavy section without much notice. I adore that part that comes in right after the verses where the music stops for a couple split seconds except for one lone guitar note. AAAAGHhhhhh, why can't you see it?! So many of you had it as your least favorite song on Blackwater Park in that favorite/least favorite, and I want to throw a chair at every one of you. Then tie you to it and play the song for you. TWICE, you hater.
