Do not buy Apple products... ever

I'd swap to the mighty mouse if I wasn't such a whore for my Kensington Expert Mouse. m/
i was all about my Kensington Expert and Turbo, er.... "mice" for years... but tried the 360º scrolling on the MM just one time and switched, the scroll ball is just that cool. but i'll concede readily that they (Apple) do need to make them user serviceable.

Ballcleaning is essential in day to day life.

But what is so great about 360 degrees scrolling while working in PT?

(And why such a small ball? For me it looks more like rubbing a she-mouse)

Horizontal, vertical, and diagonal scrolling in any DAW is a godsend. I love that I can switch between horizontal and vertical scrolling by hitting a button on my expert mouse. I LOATHE those little arrow bars. :lol:

It does about the same as the microsoftmouse with that wheel you can tilt sideways, only at the speed you rub on it?

-and diagonal ofcourse-.

Mm, sounds good, but that ball still seems uncomfortably small for me.
I agree on the macbook padremark, my wife has one, and the trackpad is great.

Anyone knows if there's an USBversion of that trackpad for sale?

Does anyone here feel that the clickwheel on the new iPod Classic (and apparently Video too) is very bad compared to the one of the iPod Photo (only one I had to compare)? Very hard to scroll precisely to where you wanna go...

Well, I have an iPod bought last year (not the new classic), an 80Gig and the wheel IS erratic most of the time.
I suspect it has something to do with my BIG hands, if I'm not careful with my thumb it picks electric signals after I made the choice and therefore it shifts the menu bar one or two positions away. Not a major issue by any means.

I agree! Now I have a Mac Pro / G5 / iPod /iGuitar /iCar /iTV / iAmp / iShoes / iToothbrush / and waiting for my new iGirlFriend!!!! LOL!:lol::lol:

Marathon 9600 with PT24 and a Newertech 500, Powerbook Pismo, Powerbook 3400, some G3's & 9600's for spareparts.

Had some new stuff (last was a G4 dual MDD), but I work much better with WinXP than OSX.

OS9 is still my fav. Simple, stable, professional. OSX took years to mature a bit, all the softwarelabour went to iWank, iSmug, iBloat etc. Yuk.
