I'm gonna play bass for some singer/songwriter chick who's music I don't really care for, but she has some gigs lined up on Sunset Strip so I'm doing it for the exposure/experience/chicks/beer/hookers.

But the gigs are non-paying, so does that still count as selling out?

i had this conversation the other day with my band's singer...he did the same thing pretty much, didn't really dig the music but went as a hired gun so to speak, just for the experience
