So, a mate of mine is doing an interview with 'Opeth' (not sure which member that means, but hopefully Mikael) next Tuesday.

I've been asked to come up with some questions. The first and most obvious would be to ask about the status of Lopez - what else should I ask?

not only ask about lopez's status, but make sure to let him know how important we consider him to be etc.

one question i'd like answered is whether, in the recording of the albums, mike does all the rhythm tracks on the right and peter on the left (or the other way around), or if only the one who plays them the tightest plays'em - and if so, which one is it?

...and of course, whether they're releasing any of the chronology shows on dvd, and why/why not :p

YES PLEASE....

& Ask about how Mike felt (if it's him you get) about playing Night & Silent Water in New York, since he said he never would.

Ask him "how often to people go up to you and say, 'hey! you're mikael Akerfeldt!!'"

and "what band would you say was the most fun to tour with"

edit: How do you make the Swedish-halo-over-the-A-letter that Akerfeldt is supposed to have?

Ask 'him', if there any plans for a DVD at all?? I heard something about a making of GR?

Or a live-DVD? And will they have the same legal problems they had with Lamentations (not being able to release their older material)?

Agreed. I'd be interesting to know what he felt/thought about it.

Same thing with Lopez as stated above. Let him know we're all thinking of him. Oh, and don't forget the usual: "Hows the wife and kid?" :)
