Thought I'd start a proper thread for this :)
I'm pretty stoked for this, finally DT play a UK date when I CAN make it :D
So this will be my first time seeing DT, just want to ask if anyone can predict a setlist based on recent gigs? I would be happy if some of these get played, although I realise it's only a support slot :erk:

Off Character: Through Smudged Lenses, Endless Feed, Lost To Apathy, Mind Matters, One Thought, Senses Tied, Dry Run

Off Damage Done: Pretty much all the tracks :D But Final Resistance really doesn't do much for me.....I'd hope for Hours Passed In Exhile, Damage Done, Cathode Ray Sunshine, White Noise/Black Silence

Off Haven: Any song... love every song!

Projector: Therein, The Sun Fired Blanks, On Your Time

The Minds I: Hedon, Scythe Rage and Roses...

I just hope DT do a headlining tour sometime soon :headbang:
Oh, any news on who the support act is?

the only guesses where you're most likely not right on the money are the tracks from damage done and on your time (keep dreaming). give or take a song, you'll probably be satisfied with all the rest, if the last gigs are anything to go by.

This C A N N O T B E.

Just got my ticket. Cost £19. ( like 28 euros). I don't even like Arch enemy, and train journey is gonna cost at least £25... gutted.

But aye, shit happens. I know DT wouldn't pull out unless it was for a very good reason. But Anyone know why it's cancelled? And anyone want to hug me. I need a hug.

Still got Nevermore to look forward to... And opeth. and Dragonforce. And decapitated. And Detonation. And the Haunted. But still!!!! :p

Better now? :p If it makes you feel better, Ive seen DT only once in my life.. and I missed Decapitated last time because I had no place to stay and neither the last nor the first train home were much of an option..

"We're sorry to announce that due to several reasons beyond our control, we're not able to do the previously announced ARCH ENEMY/TRIVIUM [European] tour in September/October. We were looking forward to the trip and examined all possible solutions, but at the end of the day we have no option but to cancel our participation. Apologies to the people that got their hopes up as well as to the ARCH ENEMY camp." '

Shit!!!! That's pissed me off a lot. I'm sure like they said, they have no other option, but I'm gutted I won't get to see Dark Tranquillity. Yet AGAIN. Typical, they finally announce a UK date when I can make it, and they have to pull out. Damn....
Just glad I didn't get a ticket before now....
I really hope you guys can make it up to us by doing a UK tour asap :(

Hooray!
Finland for the win!

Pretty please?

Well, actually I'm sorry for everyone who bought a ticket in hopes of seeing DT. They probably would have come here on the European tour anyway even if they will do so now too...well, hopefully they'll do most places that are on that list.
Not that I really, you know, care, but just so as not to sound inconsiderate.

Hopefully they'll do Bradford Rios or leeds. Everyone I know loves DT, but no promoters around here seem to give a fuck about them. Which is a loosing situation. I even actually asked one dude and he just mentioned too many expenses... which I really don't understand.

Hopefully I'll have a proper job by then and it wont take me six weeks to scrat enough cash for one gig :p.

Oh i almost hear the violins:)
You can at least go to any other europian country without a fucking visa and see them there, unlike me who live in this fuck up country that nobody ever considers when making a tour plan and the procedure i have to actually go through to get a visa for any E.U. country is fucking ridiculous...
but thats just me whining :(

 I don't know whether to bother going to the Manchester date now. Arch Enemy are good, but is it worth the expense for one band, who I've seen anyway?

Was it even official? I mean, last time I checked it wasnt even on their site, so was it "canceled" really?
It just didnt get confirmed, that's all. Still the why is interesting ;)

I'm thinking it did get confirmed. Or maybe the reason the tour wasn't advertised more fully with DT on it was because there was an apprehension about whether its was going to be possible from the start... which is basically what you said. But from a couple of places I did get the impression Dark Tranquillity were booked and on the bill.

But you know, if one of the reasons they pulled off is so they can do a headline shiznit... then I'm down.
