start playing and then somebody tells you: hey that riff already exists!
and you are like WTF where?

I don't think they intentionally plagiarised it. Plagiarising a big band like CoB intentionally is downright stupid.

Maybe, but since their music is out, they know the intro riff is the intro of Downfall, and they don't want to change it ....
You can make music and find à riff of a great band but when you realised it, you change this but they keep this fucking riff so for me it's still à steal of riff

Well, my friends used to go to Motown night at a bar downtown, but stopped because its pretty much overcrowded with emo children now all under 16. Probably think its ironic and funny, like argyle vests, non of them know shit about motown.

Also, I personnaly consider metalcore a branch of emo.

I partially agree with Metalcore being in the branch of Emo. Some Metalcore bands are simply a mix a Hardcore and Metal (I'm pretty clever eh?) which sometimes doesn't sound really bad (i.e Raised Fist or God Forbid). On the other you have the completely Emo band trying to sound Metal which is, indeed, in the branch of Emo (i.e Bullet For My Vagina).

Long story short, it's usually better to avoid the therm Metalcore because of the multiple interpretations that people can make out of that. It is either Metal, Hardcore or Gay... I mean Emo.

1. CoB beginning to become trendy with MTV airplay
2. AYDY? sounding somewhat Metalcore
3. Metalcore is somehow related to Emos
4. Emo band checks their old stuff
5. Emo band thinks the old stuff is über-underground
6. Emo band steals riff
7. UM members laugh
