May I inquire as to ... why you're looking for something "Satanic" in particular? Is it to make a statement about lyrics having nothing to do with how a song sounds, or is to be on the good-side of the bad-side? *chuckles* How the hell can an instrumental be "Satanic" anyways? You know, "Devil Went Down to Georgia" is a classic country song about a devil, a fiddle, and a guy named Johnny.. is that Satanic-sounding? How can something be "Satanic sounding"?? Now, I'm not making an assumption as to your intentions, but looking for things that "sound Satanic", even instrumentals, seems to translate to "Dude, I want something that will really freak out my parents" or the ever-so-popular "My buddies at school will think I'm brutal!" ?? :Puke:

True, true!
What about Skip James "Devil took my woman" (blues from the 30's)?
The Yellow Payges "Devil woman"
John Barry "Witch burning" (although that might be the other way around = christian)
Stevie Wonder "Heaven is 10 zillion light years away" (Ha ha! I don't think he meant it to be satanic or as if he was sitting in hell though.)

But anyway, if you wan't satanic lyrics (still haven't figured out what "satanic sounding" is) then take Dark Funeral. I think I checked the lyrics off "Secrets of the black arts" and as far as I recall there wasn't ONE song that didn't have the word Satan or another name for him in it!
Morbid Angel is definitely NOT Satanic! Their first album maybe, but not anymore. The "Ancient Ones" are Summerian. What more I couldn't really tell you, haven't done my research yet , but Trey has said that they represent self-awareness and a way to better oneself.
It sounds weird that if they aren't satanic that they have a pentagram, forks and all that shit in their logo. Okay, they may have been satanic in the beginning and then have changed their opinion later on and then didn't want to change their logo. But bands like Hypocrisy & Entombed have changed their logos along the way.
Maybe they just put that shit in their logo to sell records!

Quite possible! Hypocrisy still shows their old logo every once in awhile though.

Morbid Angel is...I think. But then again I dont know who the fuck the "Ancient Ones" Trey always talks about are.

The "Ancient Ones" are the ancient Sumerian gods. Trey has always been deeply interested in their scriptures, for more information on them read some H.P. Lovecraft, he also had a fixation on them.

Morbid Angel is in now way Satanic, they're anti-Christian, that's all.

You know, the monks of the early Church wouldn't sing or create chants using a III chord because it's dissonance made it "sound Satanic" .. I'm not kidding! Look it up ;)

This is true, also during the time of persecution of witches anyone who wrote a musical piece with a III chord in the music was declared a witch and set o the stake and burned (the European custom) or hanged (the American custom).

This is a fact most people don't know.

Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King are atheists, they don't believe in God or the Devil. Tom Araya believes in God. Who fucking cares, a lot of the older stuff was pretty evil.

Depends on what kind of music u want!

Death/black...Surely Deicide
Black/Black....I would go for Marduk
Old metal/Black....Venom no doubt about that

Or u could search for Denial Of God, A band from my hometown Skål og fuck alle andre end mig :flame: They are surely living out the evil side of life!. :muahaha:

Yeah, I know. I have a Swedish magazine called "Close up" from '96 where he says it.

The "pentagram" Morbid Angel uses is the sign of Tiamat, one of the Ancient Ones. Again, Summerian not satanic.

...still don't understand why you want satanic sounding songs. Um, dig out Mercyful Fate's "The Oath" and follow it with a shot of Venom's "At War With Satan" and sprinkle a little "Hell Awaits" on top. Of course, if you ask any of my non metal friends, it all sounds satanic.

Hmm, so Cheech and Chong were satanic then. They wrote that song and said, "I only know III chords..." Evil, evil little potheads...
