This is, of course, a simplified list, since there are many different variations, even with just a moustache.

I had a goatee with big sideburns for about 18 years. I now have a full beard which is generally pretty unkempt. I neaten it up and trim it about every couple of months or something.

We need an option for "patchy beard". I can't in good conscience put "full beard".

Neckbeard. I used to shave weekly, which is sufficient-ish for my generally hairless face, but I've gotten especially lazy so now I do it about every three.

my face is as smooth as a babys butt right now, but usually full bearded. Had a dirty stash for years too.

I shave, let it grow 3-5 days and shave again. Any more frequent and my face gets too irritated.

same except it's more like 3 weeks to a month between shaves. i've started getting grey in my beard this past year or so, that's the peril of black(ish) hair i guess

I rock the van Dyke beard. There was a time once when I had only a moustache, but that was a mistake. I need something to cover my weak chin, but I have rather patchy hair growth on my cheeks. So I shave with an old school double-edge safety razor, shown here:

It's the best thing to shave with, excepting a straight razor. But I wouldn't want to use a straight razor on my balls, whereas I can take this razor to the nether realm.

Anyway, full beard here - I'm weird looking enough, I don't need to make things worse venturing outside the safe zones of facial hair.

I started getting gray hairs almost 2 years ago (at the age of 30), but only in my beard. I tweeze them.
