I would narrow it down further than this but I could spend all day doing that and I'd still not be satisfied. I would consider all these albums my favourites (and probably a whole bunch I missed) and which one I favour on any particular day mostly depends on my mood, what kind of music I feel like listening to and how long it's been since I last listened to it.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon - #1 of all-time
Opeth - Deliverance, Ghost Reveries, Still Life, MAYH

Katatonia (every cds but mostly "Dance of December Souls" and "Brave Murder Day")
Megadeth (from "KIMB" to "CTE")
Metallica (from "KEA" to "...AJFA")

Ack, I'm fickle but here goes.

Kraftwerk - Trans-Europe Express
Aphex Twin - Selected Works Volume 1 (misleading name btw)
Joni Mitchell - Court & Spark
Gang of Four - Entertainment
Blondie - Parallel Lines
Madonna - The Immaculate Collection
R.E.M. - Murmur (this album makes me glad to be alive)
Jeff Buckley - Grace
The Velvet Underground and Nico
U2 - Achtung Baby (I know it's mainstream but you wouldn't think it)
Opeth - My Arms Your Hearse/Blackwater Park/Deliverance (so close)
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Tool - Aenima
Black Flag - Damaged
Sick of it All - Blood, Sweat and No Tears
The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street

I can't pick many:

Dream Theater - Awake (among the others, YEAH that means Falling Into Infinity too!)

Deliverance (Oh yeah, you definitely don't know who made this!!!)
Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness, Domination (among the others of course)
Metallica - ...And Justice For All
Megadeth - Rust In Peace

Don't have many. You know, I'm very limited when it comes to music. :erk:

which is typically a sign of a lack of eclecticism and narrowmindedness. your pick however is better than many ive seen so far...the nightside eclipse is definitely a tier 1 heavy metal album.

Anthems is better.:headbang:
