Favorite beers

That's the truth. We were given some Bush Triple Ambree by a couple of French guys at a festival we played in Belgium and by god was it good!! Me, our FOH guy and our guitarist were all at the bar and it was only after we got through our 3rd bottle or something (wine sized) that we realised it was 12%, of course - we just carried on.

We're back in Belgium for another festival next month, I'm making sure I bring back a bottle or two this time!!


Yes the biggest problem with trappist beers is that you can't drink so much of that stuff.
There's a lot of alcohol and after 5 or 6 you wanna puke because the taste is so strong, but the first 3-4 rounds are absolutely heaven on earth.
 
I have a hard time thinking of Trappist ales (like those) as being in the same category as the other beers discussed - I never go for one when I'm in the mood for the other, and I often think of them as a different kind of beverage (tripels seem closer to champagnes than American pale ales, for example), but I do have my fair share when I can.
