I bought a slab of Boag's St George last night with Safeway's 20% off sale. I had one, but I don't think I was in the mood, either that or it is not what it used to be. Still nice though, but I still ended up mixing it with a touch of Bickford's Lime cordial.

Not my thing. On another note does anyone brew their own beer?

I brew from time to time, but got a bit disheartened after the last brew I did was decidedly average. That was last year and I've not brewed since. Do you get into it?

Had a bottle of Monteith's tonight. That was nice, light and crisp (according to my limited palate).

The snowy mountains brewery beers are the best in the country, especially the Charlotte's Hefeweizen and the Razorback Red Ale. The other 2 are quite outstanding as well though.

Back at uni, just finished a graduate diploma in teaching.

I've tasted 3 of the Monteith's range, namely the Golden Ale, Radler and Celtic...all vastly different but very nice.

Relaxing with a Pepperjack Ale again, I can see this becoming my regular beer. Only $20 a 6pack from the bottlo too, and probably cheaper at Dan Murphy's, so it's not a walletbreaker. Yum yum.

Yeah it is cheaper at our store. Definately an acquired taste, but I didn't mind it at all.

the best value beer on the market now in Australia is Oettinger from Germany. A really nice (and very German) tasting Pils... Actually one of my favourite beers regardless of the price, but Safeway/Woolworths have been selling it from between $26-31 all year long!!

Now this is the kind of price I expect beer to be at! I like it, bought a carton a while back and intend to purchase some more in the near future.

Yeah $20 for a six pack is $5 too expensive for me as well. I'd rather buy a slab.

I got a 5 pack of mixed Australian pale ales as a Kris Kringle gift. I had a "Wicked Elf" pale ale last night, and it was very tasty indeed.

Thought I might resurrect this bad boy. Currently drinking a new seasonal James Squire Malt Runner, described as a winter ale with hints of chocolate, cherry and malt caramel. Interesting stuff!
