And the matter is not about how many strings he actually plays.

And that was my original point: Why bring up the # of strings when it has nothing to do with anything?

Chuck, coined the grandfather of Death Metal is gone rip. Now a legion, and always to be remembered in that way. I'd also add to the list Rob Barret and Allen West, but the current list rocks!!

Allen West?????????????!!!!

All of the above guys are good, but if I were to pick one, I guess it would have to be Trey.

I love Death, I saw them live in 93 and I own most of their albums, but Chuck was far from the best guitarist in Death Metal.

What's happened with Schuldiner is what happens with all people who die: They are overpraised because everyone misses them and want to cry and feel sorry for a "fallen warrior" (LOL).

Metalheads are fucking pussies.

whatever the fuck are you talking about?

It's all preparation for Denmark's great cheese festival. The pure joy of cheese rolling and eating contests, before another grim and suicide-filled Scandinavian night. :heh:

BTW, for anyone who thinks Schuldiner can't play leads or solo, just watch the Live and Raw in LA DVD. Your jaw will be dragging on the floor for about a week.

:OMG:

I've seen them live and I'm very familiar with his lead style, and I'll say it again - He was far from the best guitarist in Death Metal. Masvidal and Murphy were both much better lead players than him.
