Has this thread been done before?!?! :Spin:

Top 3 in no particular order of awesomeness.

Edge of Sanity - Crimson
Ayreon - The Human Equation
Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime is also lovely, but holds no sentimental value in this heart.

Damn, my choices are pretty common.

Mindcrime is the obvious response, but I'll think further before I respond to ye questioning.

Isn't Morningrise supposed to be a concept btw?

In the end there can be only one (Mindcrime that is)..but because this is the obvious answer, as already said, and the topic wouldnt be interesting if everyone mentions only this, here is a top 10 + 1 :

Fates Warning-A.P.S.O.G.
Nevermore-Dreaming Neon Black
Candlemass-Tales Of Creation
Eloy-Power And The Passion
Shadow Gallery-Tyranny
Ayreon-Into The Electric Castle
Genesis-The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
The Pretty Things - S.F. Sorrow
Eternity X - The Edge
Wolverine - Cold Light Of Monday
Saviour Machine - Legend I

MARILLION - Misplaced Childhood
GENESIS - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
PINK FLOYD - The Wall
THE WHO - Tommy
QUEENSRYCHE - Operation: Mindcrime
KING DIAMOND - Abigail
ULVER - Bergtatt
IRON MAIDEN - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
SAVATAGE - Dead Winter Dead

I didn't know Nattens Madrigal was a concept album. Oh well, put that on my list.

Yeah, I should probably do that more often, but most bands are shitty lyricists and so it's usually not worth my time.

It's a beautiful haunting romantic dark tale of lycanthropy to be taken partially literally and partially picturesque (?word) explaining the different sides of man.. or something. Anyway, it rules a whole lot and is fucking awesome and the second best album ever.

Current 93 - All The Pretty Little Horses
Fields Of The Nephilim - Elizium
Katatonia - Brave Murder Day
Lux Occulta - Forever Alone. Immortal.
Negura Bunget - 'N Crugu Bradului
Ulver - The Trilogie
Ulver - Perdition City

some of it might be stretching the definition of a concept album, but anyway...
