I see that you all mentioned some names of groups. I don't listen to viking metal a lot. So I won't give here any name of group.

IMO - Empyrium is a great band. Just listen to their second album : ... A Wintersunset. Good domm metal. Under The Dreamskies, The Yearning and Franconian Woods In Winter are great.
I have also a demo of them - it's good but quality of sound is poor. Bu maybe someone here have it - so we can make a discusion about it.

About Borknagar - I really loved them when Vortex was on vocals. Song like "Colossus" are amazing. And his voice ... Yeah - one of the best ! But now he is a vocalist in Arcturus, didn't he ?

Nokturnal Mortum are a great black metal band with alot of folk elements.

yep but they are playing NSBM. If somebody hate the ideology of nazis it's not cool

But I like their music.
