Fortin Natas - MEATAL!!

$3,700.. is that it? Rectifiers go for more than that here. Slo100s go for up to 3 times as much here... $3,700 is pocket change.

totally!
i think we get ripped off massively on amps in Australia but :(

Man i would easily spend $3700 on an amp that sounds that good.
As you said, Dual Rec's go for retail $4595 here.

I'd rather one amp to shit on them all, then half a dozen ones that are fucking useless (after hearing this).

Agreed. Hence why I was saving my pennies two years ago for this thing when I heard Mike was building it. I'm getting serial #3, my buddy Scott is getting #2, and the co-designer, Gary, is getting #1.

April will be a busy reamping month at this rate

Mike is having custom transformers made with a top secret core material that hasn't even made it into the amp yet (this is still the prototype). The new transformer set should make the amp hold together even better, as well as add more harmonics and even improved note definition.

Dude, you HAVE to hear this played in the room. My video don't do the amp any justice by far. Hands down the best sounding amp I've ever heard.

Greg will be the master of reamping when he get his!

;)

Ola, I haven't forgotten about the AxeFx impulses I'm making for you. I just need to get through this weekend before I can get 'em done.

3,700$ wouldn't seem that bad to me for a custom hand-built amplifier. Dual Recto here around 3,500$ retail...
I've been GASing for a Diezel Herbert lately -> 4,400$ ^^

The Natas sounds really cool...smooth and tight :)
A Tad dark this clip is maybe...but if Ola says it sounds even better in the room I believe it :D
Has to be one hell of an amp. Guess I'll never hear one fo' real though^^

Also curious to hear what Greg will do with it haha

Hey guys, new to the forum and wanted to jump in since I have a vested interest in the Fortin Natas.

I am friends with Greg and I am the future owner of Natas #002 and I also have a Fortin Cali mod SLP, here is a vid of it even though I know this may not be nearly heavy enough for you guys :D Done with a Q3 recorder, not killer quality but at least you have an idea of where I come from.

Anyways I am slated to receive my Natas around January 2011 and anyone around Connecticut who wants to take it for a test spin you are more than welcome. As the OP states you will crap when you hear this amp in person. There is no other amp like it.

Congrats to both of you! Also got a mail from Mike himself. Really cool guy and eager to know my suggestions for the amp, to make it better.

Probably to early to talk about endorsement right :D

Bloody hell I could've tried it out on tonights live show. The Axe Fx does hold up though. But man with the Natas backing me up. It would be tits.

sounds pretty fantastic from here. i wish it was louder in that mix IMO. I can't ever be the guy to say 1 amp will rule them all, because everyone is going to want different flavour, whether you soundies like it or not :p But this is definitely a company/ ammp that's going to boom in the years to come. Great stuff, let's see the Fractal guys copy this one ;)

On that note, Scott has the best sounding British voiced amp in the world. Mike's Cali Mod on his SLP is really the most fantastic, cutting, saturated Marshall tone you could ever ask for. It inspired me to have Mike Fortin make me an amp based off of his mods, but entirely handbuilt.

I'm pretty excited to own two of the best amps in the world, in my opinion.
