Heh, this thread prompted a ramblings excerpt:
THE UNOFFICIAL FINAL WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HOSERHELLSPAWN
All of my earthly belongings will become the property of my remaining immediate family depending on whether or not I bit the dust before they did. Any of my close friends who wish to gain ownership of these items may request to do so and the family can decide. Anything left over I wish to be donated (or the proceeds therefrom donated) to a variety of worthwhile charities working to save lives, or advance the living conditions of those born less advantaged than I was in Canada or abroad.
Alright, now that the insignificant stuff is out of the way: NO FUNERAL. I dislike funerals and I don't want to know people are sitting around crying about me, instead, I want a Wake. A SECULAR WAKE. There will be no crying, no crosses, no religion, no praying or expressions of "mercy for my soul". Instead, I want all of the people I love to get together, get pissed drunk, laugh a lot, and continually toast me. I want my life celebrated, not mourned, and I want my passing to create at least a small degree of happiness, even if it only lasts for the duration of the party. No "Amazing Grace", I'd prefer Opeth's "To Bid You Farewell", thank you very much. And play some loud, happy music, too. The Beatles or something.
Nextly: I want to be cremated. NO CASKETS. I dislike coffins in life and I'm very claustrophobic, I'll dislike them in death. Also, I don't want my ashes left in a cemetary somewhere with a bunch of other dead people, they are to be spread as far and wide as they can be taken. Take the urn up into an airplane and spread them over the entire province, that would be great. I am a wanderer and an adventurer and would hate to have my earthly remains kept together in one place. I'd rather be sort of ...omnipresent. (Actually, I don't really give a rats ass, I just like the idea that people might inhale me. Hehehe...)
Finally, someone please see to it that my art is remembered. Get my photos published, or something. The art of the artist is the artist, and I'd like that to be a part of what I leave behind.
