Song at your funeral...

I would have Symphony X - The Odyssey played, purely becuase I find it funny that people would have to sit and listen to 24 minutes of metal at my funeral. :)

you sleep in the light
yet the night and the silent water
still so dark
.. can't believe no one mentioned The Night and the Silent Water

other than that, The Big Sleep by Dan Swanö
or something by Funerary Dirge just cause it would make so much sense...

Unless everyone that goes to your funeral is a fan of growling vocals, The Night and Silent Water would not be a funeral-friendly song. Somehow playing growling vocals to a close-minded crowd while thier friend or family member is being lowered into the ground is not a good idea.

Robert Plant - Colours of the Shade
Led Zepplin - Going to california
Rhapsody - Wisdom of the kings :D (purely for comedy value)
Edward Elgar - Nimrod
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells 2 - Weightless
Opeth - Face of Merlinda
Symphony X - Communion and the Oracle
Liquid Tension Experiement - Biaxident
Dream Theater - Change of Seasons
Pink Floyd - Whole of Dark side of the moon

Than the whole of St. Anger (people would have to leave at some point :))

A Couple of choices... I will cite this in my will as part of my dying wish.

Death - Perennial Quest
My Dying Bride - Black God
Green Carnation - My Dark Reflections of Life & Death

My funeral has to be at night, so that should add to the atmosphere.

Novembre - Come Pierrot
Dying Fetus - Grotesque Impalement
Maudlin of the Well - The Ferryman
Haggard - In A Full Moon Procession
Astriaal - Acquisition of the Stars
Opeth - Silhouette
Dimmu Borgir - Entrance
