Worms Armageddon is eternally the best given it gets updates from two community contributors. They added features such as giant maps, saved replays, and using colour maps online, plus ironed out all the glitches. It's quite a sandboxy game so players figure out their own arcane ways of playing it. I imagine it's very alienating for new players going online with it for the first time. It's weird enough for me now after having hardly played it at all in the last 15 years.
I was aware of them but hardly ever played them. The adventure games I played were the Sierra ones. Mostly Leisure Suit Larry 3, Mixed-Up Mother Goose and the original King's Quest. In Leisure Suit Larry 3 I was stuck at one particular stage for what felt like months or even longer. By the time I eventually jumped back in and figured out what I needed to do next I'd lost interest in playing it any further.
