I don't mind having to fight the boss himself a couple dozen times if that's what it takes, but I don't want to waste half an hour killing zombies that don't even strengthen my character just to get there. The problem with JRPGs is that they're designed by masochists that have been brainwashed into working 80 hours a week, 6 days a week. I'll admit I am a quitter when it comes to JRPGs with limited save opportunities. Valkyrie Profile is probably the only post-16-bit JRPG that I've played that I'd call a fun game.
