Geez, lol. Can't remember if I'd really heard anything about Bully. I was thinking maybe Colonization would still be considered a bit more offensive now, until the video got to the part with the Freak Show and people in enclosures. Then there's the shooting all the kids with a firework launcher.

I've been playing Grim Fandango for the 1st time. Kinda hard at times, or I'm just dumb about which objects to use where. Needed like 4 hints to get outta town and to the start of the forest.

The Suffering: Ties That Bind

Finished this in two sittings. Pretty fun action/horror hybrid. Easy to pick up/get into but becomes pretty frustrating in later missions due to the whack-ass difficulty curve. Still, you get to do cool things like dual wield shotguns and stuff. So yay for that.

i struggled with 3 when it came out, found it hard to get into plot/atmosphere wise while also hating how fiddly it was navigating the menus and stuff, but i haven't revisited it as an adult so i'd probably love it now, i know it tends to be the critics' favourite.

It's definitely different. 2 felt like more of an extension of 1 atmosphere wise. Love that one too.

1 emulates fine from what i remember. the problem with 2 is it relies on pressure button technology that was specific to ps2 controllers, i tried playing it using a newer pad and half the controls don't work 'cause you need to be able to only half push down a button to aim and then fully push it to fire, stuff like that. there might be a workaround now 'cause i haven't researched it in a while, but at the time i last tried and read reddit posts etc on it nothing worked and i gave up in the end lol
