I will probably "finish" Final Fantasy XII by Christmas. All that's left is a few of the optional bosses and rare monsters. It was a fun game but lacked some of the humor and minigames of previous installments. I've put nearly 200 hours into it, so it was definitely worth the $20 I paid for it. I will have to buy something new sooner or later, and since I do not buy games too often, I'm looking for something with a lot of replay value for PS2. Any recommendations are welcome. I like RPGs. Just don't recommend anything too hard to find.
I still think the old Civ II rocks. The diplomacy in Civ III seemed broken. Everyone hates you. Haven't gotten to Civ IV yet. I worry that it might get too complex though. Civ II had a good balance between time spent managing war specific elements and trade/diplomatic elements. I've been playing every so often for 10 years. It's truly one of the great games of the era.
