Just played the first two hours of Mass Effect 1 this morning. I'm pretty well hooked so far. Feels like combat is going to take a bit to master, it's pretty intricate. Love the storyline though, they put a lot of attention into building a history. $14.97 after tax well spent

Anyone know what has to be (un)done in order for Shepard to die?

I'm old school. I just played through the original Half Life again and was reminded why it's the best fps ever. It stands the test of time and totally holds its own against any fps to come out since. The pacing is just amazing and the combat is still so much fun. It's an immersive game and has incredible replay value.

Got drunk and apparently purchased a couple Zombie shooter games last night as well as HeadShot2 and Avatar Drop. Zombie Apocalypse is pretty fun but on a 26" old CRT television where you can hardly see the zombies as they blur with the background, it gets really frustrating

I started playing WoW again.....this means all other games are meaningless.

So i started a ME1 game so that i could get the feel of immediately carrying on a character to ME2. Am I obsessed?

Just completed ME2 for the first time, Jack, Grunt and Legion died for me. Jack was a prick, it's impossible to feel any attachment to Legion, slightly annoyed about Grunt.

Not sure why three of my squad died though, must have made a bad decision somewhere, pretty sure I had all the important upgrades.

It matters which people you pick for the tech specialist, the biotic specialist, and the fire team leader.

Ah of course, I pretty much just chose people who I thought would be good for the job but I didn't mind losing. I was anticipating those put in leadership roles to die in some heroic feat that saves their team or something.

Pick Garrus for first team leader, Jack for biotic, Tali for vents, Jacob for second team leader. Everyone will live. Assuming you have full loyality.

Once you do the IFF quest, immediatley choose to rescue the crew. You don't need Legions loyalty for everyone to survive and if you fuck around Kelly will die.

I like it too, but seriously, if you're going to have the main character be a Big Daddy, then at least make him behave like a Big Daddy. I need a first aid kit after three measly pistol shots. That's not cool.

Yeah I did Legion for the vents, miranda for both team leads, and samara for the biotic, all lived. First time I did Grunt for both team leads (he died), garrus for the vents (died), and jack for biotic (lived)
