So what be the next big trendy thing?

I think glam/power/cheese kinda stuff will be popular but not for very long. Once everyone gets over Dragonforce, which will probably be after they release another shitty album that sounds exactly like the one before it and people don't find it ironic enough anymore, it will be done.

Basically, I could give a rat's ass if something is trendy or not. If I like it, I like it. If I don't like it, then I don't.

I think the same. With Emo nowadays there is no way im gunna be one of them because I dislike the music and hate the whole look, whereas if Hair metal days come back ill be the first to slap on make-up and wear high heels. :p

Slipknot has tried anything they can to be accepted and appealing to the "true" metal scene but it can't happen. Unless they wrote an album complete set in one genre without going to their ridiculious choruses and stupid hooks.

Maybe fire a few memebrs and stop the use of electronics.

(Flower) Power metal is most definitely the next big thing. I saw an emo kid with a Dragonforce shirt on the other day and the emo kids in my graphic design class talk about Dragonforce all the time. And now there are other power metal bands popping up in the mainstream, such as Cellador.

Ah, so has Dragonforce become the new fad at our school?
