I think glam/power/cheese kinda stuff will be popular but not for very long. Once everyone gets over Dragonforce, which will probably be after they release another shitty album that sounds exactly like the one before it and people don't find it ironic enough anymore, it will be done.

I think the same. With Emo nowadays there is no way im gunna be one of them because I dislike the music and hate the whole look, whereas if Hair metal days come back ill be the first to slap on make-up and wear high heels.

Slipknot has tried anything they can to be accepted and appealing to the "true" metal scene but it can't happen. Unless they wrote an album complete set in one genre without going to their ridiculious choruses and stupid hooks.

Absolutely. Their samples and "DJing" give it that rap/hip hop feel to help attract more kids who don't know their own musical identity yet.

It's shocking to me to see a guy who is as good a singer as Taylor is be in such crap bands. Slipknot is disgusting and Stone Sour is only slightly better. Corey has a great singing voice, albeit he can't scream for shit. It pisses me off to see him waste his talent in shit bands.
