I'd definately go. A couple of my friends are planning Montreal and Toronto trips, but I don't have $700 to blow. I'd gladly drop some cash to see them in a a closer city, i.e. Minneapolis.

When I consider how much it is going to cost me to travel to any of these shows with airfare, hotel, food and what-not, I've honestly just thought about making an offer to bring GR to Minneapolis, Minnesota. I know that I would have to offer a HUGE amount for the date - probably take out a second on the house, sell the car, buy a bicycle, etc.
I'm not sure what's crazier; taking a second mortgage to see a band or basing a financial decision on a handful of responses you might get in this thread.
As others have pointed out, if it made financial sense for Gamma Ray to play Minnesota, they would be doing so. Add into this equation that it's possible that they might play ProgPower in September and/or it would cost you considerably less to go to them, then to bring them to you.
I really appreciate your passion, but if you're actually considering this you really need to take a step back and get some perspective.
