Get Well Sara Thread

Sara - To finish out a show under these conditions is more than extraordinary - it's superhuman! Words can't describe how much I admire and respect you for your complete and totally beyond the call of duty professionalism and dedication to the fans and to the band. You played your a** off too!!! :headbang: I love you, girl!!! :worship:

Once many years ago Sara had her Achilles tendon in her left leg snap.

A little MaidenS history for you all - her left Achilles snapped during our very first show together at the Galaxy Theater ( Check out the Trooper video on the demo page!!)

Sara, I hope you heal quick!

I've busted mine before, no fun. It hurt unbelievably too. I can't believe she finished the show. Not like it's the simplest music to play either. She still sounded awesome. Sara truly rocks.

Damn!Way to go finishingthe show like that!As they say "The show must go on".I injured my foot in boxing class(I pulled something trying to step & pivot on a hook)& I was hobbling on one foot for a couple days & then it shot to my ankle after aggravating that. So I've been on the shelf for a while now from getting any real exercise but what Sara got sounds way worse OUCH!!!

This reminds me of my old friend Dean Dell from bay area thrashers Vio-lence.He broke his leg on stage & had to be carted off to the ER.He finished the set too but it was shortened because of the severity of the injury.
Anyways good luck Sara!

thanks to all for the well wishes - you made me smile :) believe it or not i'm just a wimp and the stage was the farthest thing from the hospital - ah hate em! the props - some literally - are accepted with blushing ears. thank you my friends for everything! so - i just got back with my splint and plans for the big sew up. oh yeah and adding "chair stage right" to the stage plan. please come by the merch table and sign my cast :headbang:

Can't keep a good woman down. :kickass: Whatever the rationale that was a gutsy thing that legends are made of. :worship: You rock Sara :headbang:

Since everyone has the capability of wireless are you gonna make it a wheel chair for the Galaxy so during the long instrumental sections Aja can roll you around on that big stage?

Jim

Better yet, maybe Aja can carry Sara around on her shoulders like Bruce use to do with Davey....wouldnt that be a sight !!!

I was there getting smashed right up up front ! It was A wild crowd and yes something was diffently in the air . I saw Sara's face when it happened OUCH!I couldn't beleave it when she came back out . I got chills when the crowed started chanting SARA SARA SARA. She played on from a chair you could see the pain in here eye's but allso the determination not to quit on her face. What a Trooper !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Show !:worship:

Get well MiniMurray! Nice job finishing the show...the show must go on, after all.

Years ago I had some surgery on my foot and had to play about a week of gigs sitting down. I went back and plugged into the board direct and got to sit with our sound guy for a few nights. :heh:

Wow, the word is definitely out there! Last night Mark and I went to Kinko's to get some flyers and posters made up for upcoming events and the clerk said he heard about Sara's injury! He had never seen the band before but his brother (a member of this BB!!) has many times. He sends his best wishes to ya Sara!:saint:
