GMD Poll: Top 10 Metal Albums of 1995

Nocturnus, Merciless, Carnage, Hellwitch, Massacra, Athiest, Artillery and Blasphemy all released albums better than RIP that year imo. RIP is good (great at times), but I find it inconsistent.
 
1990 had so many good albums. Rust in Peace, Cause of Death, Swallowed in Black, Seasons in the Abyss, From This Day Forward, Final Holocaust, Spiritual Healing, By Inheritance, Cracked Brain, Left Hand Path, Shotgun Justice, Master, Dark Recollections, Coma of Souls, Iced Earth, Oppressing the Masses, Piece of Time, Sanity Obscure, Slaughter in the Vatican, Tortured Existence, Suiciety etc.

Gonna be a hard fuckin' year to rank.

EDIT: Forgot Painkiller. Not sure if Cowboys would stick on or not after that; I figure Ozzman and one or two others will give it very high ratings and it will only need a few low votes to make it on, but same could easily occur for any of those albums.

Not sure how this forum views Spiritual Healing either, maybe I'm underestimating it relative to the other death metal on the list.
 
given how psychotic waltz have fared so far, maybe A SOCIAL GRACE will do well.

morbid saint's '88 demo was basically SPECTRUM OF DEATH under a different name i think?

Fingers crossed, though tbh it would only get about 5 points from me max because of the number of favorites I have from that year. I think it will come out just a little under, but maybe high number of esteemed-but-not-universally-admired albums will mean the various death metal releases will have diluted ratings rather than reaching a consensus, and all us prog-oriented guys will band together and put Waltz ahead.
