GMD Poll: Top Ten Albums of 1989

It’s a fucking great album. Interesting compositions, great riffs. My tastes are pretty dynamic, so it shouldn’t be too surprising.

With you my mind goes to death, black, prog and goth/post-punk. I'm always pleased to be surprised by what people like after 4 years on this site.

10. Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
Favourite song: "Mass Hypnosis"

Biggest surprise redoing this was Realm of Chaos ending up below Altars of Madness and Slowly We Rot.
I know Rotting is technically an EP but fuck it, it's over 30 mins long. Also another surprise was discovering that these days, I prefer Rotting over I.N.R.I.

1. Voivod - Nothingface
2. Watchtower - Control and Resistance
3. Coroner - No More Color
4. Sacrilege - Turn Back Trilobite
5. Helstar - Nosferatu
6. Candlemass - Tales of Creation
7. Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
8. Fates Warning - Perfect Symmetry
9. Toxik - Think This
10. Mekong Delta - The Principle of Doubt

First two albums remain where they are. Sacrilege are a new entry based on the amount of spins this album got from me after buying the re-released CD a few years ago.
