i disagree with that. He clearly favors a lot of the circle-jerk albums around here.
do you ever have days when you won't let your own shadow out of your sight for fear it may start plotting against you?

Black Seeds is their 2nd album though, cant be two before it, guess you could have been talking about In Their Darkened Shrines since Talos mentioned it but we arent doing 2002 yet of course.
I don't think their music doesn't sound very much like Atrox. It's just that their music doesn't give me the impression I've heard it a thousand times before. I think it has far more Jazz influences than Atrox and at least parts of it remind me of Watchtower. The reason why a mentioned Monika Edvardsen in this context is that I think some crazy weird vocal lines would make this kind of music even more interesting. Aghora also have a female singer, but she sings with a clean and normal voice and her vocal lines are rather moderate.I've not heard of Aghora but if you're in some way comparing them to Atrox I should probably give 'em a look?
I'd assume that especially the vocals on this album are too far out there for the vast majority here. I once described them as a mixture of Kate Bush (in her early days - there are some parts in "Gather in Me No More" where Monika actually does sound like Kate Bush), Nina Hagen (as regards the craziness) and some oriental influences.Unfortunate that Contentum probably won't make the final list, it's such a good record.
Primordial has my #1 spot this year easily, but have to really sort out the rest. Really good year though.
8 impetigo - faceless ep
