I'm not going to complain about people putting anything in the first 3 as the #1 Nile album tbh. I like the first 4 and then they just hit a formula after that and it works but it's nothing special. I still like it though. Solid but not mind blowing.

Yeah, first three are easily the best. Consistently decent after that though. Songs like “Lashed to the Slave Stick” rule.

You guys keep saying first three like Annihilation of the Wicked isnt one of their best.

I personally dont think they've released a single bad album(although i dont care much for Ithyphallic). One of the greatest death metal bands of all time as far as im concerned.

Doomsword is definitely doom.



Doom influenced greatly by the epic leanings of Manowar, even.

They're as doom as they are trad, epic and even some USPM. Never considered them a straight up doom band myself, especially considering My Name Will Live On and the band's overall Hammerheart/Twilight of the Gods influence.
