It was a lost film. Never released anywhere or on any format until a couple years ago. Garagehouse films found it in some abandoned warehouse or something. Its a patched together film , filmed at different times, possibly over the course of a few years.

Starman is Carpenter's "nice" movie. A romantic drama hiding under a sci-fi mask that works because of how earnestly everyone treats the material. Really great choices of Bridges and Allen as the leads. Should add it to the honorables.
