My vote is gonna go for either Still Life or Revelations. Going to listen to a few of the songs i usually skip and be back.

And once again i laugh at anyone who thinks this album is anywhere near as good as Show No Mercy or Kill Em All.

Yeah, who would think that an album that is 50% second-rate ripoff of Iron Maiden is as good as a classic Iron Maiden album?

I think The Trooper took a while to catch on for me because...

1. It has a brief, lyricless chorus
2. The main melodic hook is quite fast, especially compared to anything else from a popular metal band afaik
3. The verses have either minimal riffing/vocal-led or are basically just (fast) galloping

So I guess I'm just casual as fuck. fwiw Purgatory was the very last song to click for me on Killers as well, and I think there is some overlap between the two.

I've always found The Trooper highly memorable and I recognize it as quintessential Maiden but I also find it kinda grating. Maybe it's just overplayed, but I'd rather listen to any other song on this album.

Regarding The Trooper, the interplay of the bass and guitar on the pre-verse is perfection.
