Yeah I prefer a close game then seeing one side win by 60 points! Although I don't think my blood pressure is doing too well now hahaha

I wonder how many times we'll see Leo Barry's mark replayed in the next 12 months.... kinda annoying though, everyone is commenting on the mark that won the match but forgetting about Amon Buchanon kicking the winning goal!

It does get annoying when one moment gets focussed on ad nauseum. Still, I wouldn't be too annoyed if they were replaying Robert Harvey's grand final winning goal or something of that nature!

Nick Davis' reaction was classic on one of the news shows: "It was just a mark for God's sake. If it wasn't for me, he wouldn't have been there to even take it!" or something of that nature. I thought that was gold.

Still, great mark, though.

I thought Brett Kirk's was just as good... same amount of pressure, it was just that Leo Barry's was right at the end, instead of 1 minute from it.

And Barry stopped Sampi getting it, who would have goaled and won the game.

Barry's mark was huge because there were 4 eagles players up there going for the mark as well, with Ben Cousins, Chris Judd and Ashley Sampi waiting for the ball to come down... no doubt one of them would have gotten possesion of the ball and scored from there.

Logically there was no way Leo Barry should have been able to take that mark in such a pack... I think the only reason he could was that the pack was heading to the left, whereas he jumped from the right. This brought him in front of the pack

Yeah and he was 30 metres away from the pack when the ball went up. He timed his run and jump fucking perfectly. It was brilliant in so many ways I can't even count them all. Nick Davis' goal was champion, but lucky. Barry's mark was indisputable genius.

I was only talking about the last one, that he somehow kicked with his shin after fumbling the ball. The other three were killer though. How often does one guy kick every point in a quarter in a match?
