Flights are around $600 roundtrip right now, I can swing that. Therefore, I'm going to London probably sometime in September.

I like beer and women. Tell me where to go. :Spin:

beer no problem ... pubs everywhere. I was there in 96 last and in the one week i was there I must have seen a half a dozen bar fights ... ones like in the movies ... with people getting thrown out on the street ... cool stuff

as far as women ... one of my friends almost got literally killed in an underground strip/brothel for some reason I cannot clearly remember ... I think he was waving his dick around or something :)

you will have an awesome time, altough if you want to fly there really cheap, go in late winter, early spring. Round trip from NY is around $199 then.

the food does suck ... :)

when I was there it was the same time when they had the huge mad-cow disease problem ... so mcdonalds was off limits as well.

People people, ask the resident limeys! I was there from 70-98, and Ayeka and Russell still live there, albeit in neighboring Wales. :loco:

Great Britain is full of people who don't give a fuck about patriotism, waving stupid flags of from their car windows, invading the middle east, blah blah. :D Of course, I refer to the people, not the Blair led government, which based on latest poll results, is about to be handed back to the Tories.

It's all about going down the pub, having a few beers, hanging out with your mates, going clubbing from Friday night through to Sunday noon (no lie), and watching the football. Oh and the birds are mostly very fit (due to the obsession with dance culture), and obesity doesn't exist. You'll never see a fat lard ass anywhere (but this may have something to do with the bad food...heh.).

Speaking of food, the national food of England is curry. Yep, the good old fashioned Ruby Murray. Restaurants are open till 12am since everyone eats late, and lager is served chilled, but bitters and ales are indeed served at room temperature, as they should be. Note however that room temperature in England is *slightly* lower than South Cali or Carolina! :loco:

As for the tourist stuff, well, it's never ending. From the London Dungeon in the Tower of London, to Stonehenge, up to Edinburgh Castle, there is enough to last you a lifetime. But in reality, you want to meet birds so I suggest you stay in London, even though English girls in general are very cute. (If you go to Scotland, make sure you rent Trainspotting you dirty Scouser and then visit Glasgow).

I've got a house in London, and Chief B is renting it. Feel free to crash over and hang with the Chief. He'll show you the ropes. You can meet up with Russell too over at Imperial Uni (the equivalent of MIT - he's a bit of a brain that one).

Any chance you can get a stopover in New York?!

Thanks mate, much appreciated. I'm sure I'll have no problem finding women with ChiefB as my guide. :Smokedev: Didn't know Russell was going to some fancy school, a modest one he is.

Maybe I should drive to NY and fly from there. :p I'll be aiming for a stopover, I want to visit NYC anyhow, and since you fuckers are there and all. :)

Hmm, I just checked Amtrak, I could take the train to NY then fly out from there and the cost would be about the same to fly straight out of LAX. Decisions...

Ideally I'd like to drive to NY, fly to London, come back, and drive home, but I'd probably get about 6 speeding tickets each way so my $1,500 trip would triple in price. :loco:

Very true, I've been here a year, and have still not done even a quarter of the tourist activities I feel I should do in London!

Don't listen NAD, is all a lie. Other than the fact we can meet up. :) I should have moved into my new flat in September, so I'll be around.. When you know the dates you're coming get in touch and we can arrange to meet up!

well if you decide to drive down, you can certainly leave your car by my house. Safe area, no alternate side parking ( a common NY thing) and I am literally 10 minutes from JFK airport

Haha, this mofo is going to drive all the way from California, and you've already lined him up with a parking spot. :loco:
