Going to London

No doubt. Though, that's probably true of almost any big city you visit; better if you have a local to show you the way.

Amsterdam was cool, but I have no desire to go back there either. A place has to really blow me away, to make me want to go back, before I see other places I've never seen. Which tells you pretty much all you need to know about Playa del Carmen, Mexico, which we vacationed in four years in a row.

Zod

kkkrist o mighty man, wait till you see Slovenia! Beautiful meditarraeneaneananan weather, green valleys, blue rivers, near the sunny coast of Italy, near the scenery of the Austrian alps.

I said in the other thread, Metal Camp doesn't need a backstage. I'm deadly serious. The fact that it has this slow running river with a shaded river's edge bank filled with make-shift bars, a dj booth, merchandise market stalls...people are swimming, drinking, the bands are hanging out. It's like one big hippy fest in the sun.

The funny thing is that most people are from East Europe where their English is still a little limited, but they all speak the language of drunken metal chant.

me: Hey, how's it going.
some polack: hello.
me: what do you think of metal camp?
polack: KRE-ATOR!!! AAARGGG!
me: GAAARHHH!

*both drink beer and jump in river*

I'm ready to buy my plane tickets now. You up for going back?

Yeah, I think he stated in another thread or email that he'd definitely be up for going back. I'd love to do this as well, but shouldn't we wait until they at least announce a few acts? I know that the festival is almost secondary to the location itself, but if the lineup is nowhere near this years, it could obviously have a negative impact.

Regardless, I'd be up for any kind of resort type destination if we did a group vacation thing, hell, even if it wasn't focused around a festival. I remember we talked about Hawaii being a possibility as well. No matter what is decided on, I'm sure the "vacation" aspect will OWN. :kickass:

That's pretty near Camden. There's lots of metal stuff to do there (including Resurrection Records which is pretty good for CDs if you can afford anyover here). A few decent pubs too, but most are stupidly expensive... I'll be around in September if you fancy a drink sometime.

Yep, just went up there and found 3 Doomsword CDs. I haven't checked out very many pubs yet, but I'm sure I will. I'm always willing for a drink. PM me or whatever.
