Thanks for the info, Lasse!

if you're worried about air movement blowing out the diaphragm put a pop filter before it. I've used a Ribbon mic in front of a bass cab with no problems like that

Awesome production on this one... very good music too. Definitely one of my favorite mixes in recent memory. The drums sound soo good! I wonder if they used the 5150 III cab? would be interesting since it has those heritage greenbacks...

No, their live engineer tracked parts of it, Logan Madder did the drums and far as I know mixed it. Their live engieer did do some of their previous albums

+1 to all positive comments about this album. It really does own. I would actually put this one up there with the best sounding metal productions of all time. :kickass:

Someone will have to sit me down for quite a while and explain this to me... I simply don't get it.

Jeff

Listen to the damn enormous vocals at 4.05, and the awesome drumwork in the intro, and through the song. Also, the clean vox + tapping at 2.40. However, I would say that this album takes a while to get used to since I didn't dig it all that much at first, and now it's one of my all-time favorites. Gojira seems to be one of those bands though, some love it to death and others just don't get it.

But then again, WHO GIVES A SHIT LETS FUCKING ROCK TOXIC GARBAGE ISLAAAAAAND!!!:kickass:

PLAAAASTIIIIIC BAAAAAAAG IN THEEE SEAAAAAAA
