Finally activated mine this morning after my previous iPhone had been dying a slow and painful death. I got this one weeks ago but had an engineer staying at my house who said 'he knew macs' and kept trying to set it up for me, so I had to hide it from him while I was out. Then I forgot where I hid it

The dude I work with does apps in his spare time. I'll forward this on to him as an app request! He has asked me for ideas anyway. Don't know what advantage an app would be over the normal login + post procedure though. I don't have an iphone.

It will probably take about a week or two to get use to the onscreen keyboard but once you do you will love it. I can actually type waayyyy faster without a physical keyboard now that I'm used to it. Auto-correct will learn the way you type as well so eventually it will know that you aren't actually calling someone a motherducker haha.

...it depends on what you want though. but pretty much any app you'll ever need for your iphone wouldn't cost you more than 10 bucks from the app store.

Had the jailbreak with the iPod, but the iPhone is not jailbroken.. just don't feel the need for any jailbreak-only apps atm.
The biggest plus of a jailbreak was multitasking, well now we've got multitasking (or at least fast app-switching).
A jailbreak is nice if you want information like weather, calendar, etc on the lockscreen, though.
The jailbreak made the iPod really slow so I decided not do do it on the iPhone4.
I'm not shure if you get flash with the jailbreak, btw. I know there was a beta or an announcement but I never read of an app.
Truth is, you will virtually never come to a point where you miss flash.

Jailbreak is totaly worth it. I can Facetime over 3G connection, and i can tether internet to my laptop, plus so much more cool stuff.
Lasse: Don't bother with jailbreaking, in my opinion. I have never had a desire to, nor have I ever seen any advantages that made it worthwile. I am perfectly happy with my 4 as it came from Apple.

As far as FaceTime over 3G... there is a free app called Fring which is both iOS and Android. It allows you to use the front camera for video chat between another 4 or any Android phone with front facing cam over 3G or WiFi, for free. So there goes another reason jailbreaking is not necessary. Honestly I have not once been like "fuck, I wish this had flash." Ever. I spend a lot of time on my phone browsing the net, moreso than on my computer these days actually, still hasn't been an issue for me personally.

Ha, didn't think of that purpose. Well, I know there's a Southpark app in the Cydia store (cydia store is avilable after you jailbreak)
I only use xvideos.com (click "non mobile" or you'll get 1 minute-snippets)
