I'm asking this question here because although this is a metal forum, so many of you are so knowledgeable in other types of music as well.

I'd need something without vocals. Something soft, beautiful, relaxing, basically meditation music.

Thanks in advance :p

Ludovico Einaudi, Michael Nyman, Thomas Newman, Boards of Canada, M83, Gustav Holst, God Is An Astronaut, Mike Oldfield, Atrium Carceri, Portal, Ulver, Helios, The Ascent of Everest, The Autumn Project, Priestbird, The Mercury Program, Sigur Rós.

They are all the things in my reading playlist. Post-rock/classical/ambient stuff. Einaudi/Boards Of Canada/Ulver/Sigur Ros are probably my favorites.

Good recs already, I have to add:

Album Leaf
Bjork (for the most part)
Cocteau Twins
Kitaro (new age, but I swear it's awesome. at least the album silk road is)
Godspeed You Black Emperor (Put the ! wherever)
A Silver Mt. Zion

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them soon.

I meant more something along the lines of acoustic guitar, flute, stuff like that. I didn't mean ambient rock or anything like that....

Thanks guys :D

Some of these recommendations are brill. Thanks guys, keep them coming :D

I'm hoping for less drums and less rock stuff... no vocals... and more flute piano, classic guitar type stuff

Thanks :p
