The reason I'm picking on you, MrFast, is not because you downloaded the album in the first place, but rather because you're insulting people for wanting updates. You don't care for updates because you've already heard the album! Updates are now useless to you!

you obviously havent been around long enough to decide that.. 4 years of promises...none where kept! Id rathe they said nothing! Hurray I'm as glad as the next the album will be great and will come out! I know they worked there asses off, I never denied any of these facts... But when we get treated like ass and silenced over something that they where supposed to, and I might add jax said we'd get.

Its just the whole fact that we where told something that never came true (thus far) we where also lied to about the artwork and etc... now the last people on earth, the ones who download the album for free and wont buy it have it! ANd the fans, the forum members, the fanclub memebers, who own a shatload of their stuff still get treated like garbage.

First of all, it looks like there's about 3 people who feel like they're being treated like ass. Go cry in the corner emo kids. Second of all, you're assuming that EVERYONE WHO DOWNLOADS (zomg!!) the album is not going to buy it. Bullshit. How do you think the band gets fans? Again, it's a double edged sword and people will more than likely put off buying it, but in the end i don't think overall sales will suffer. With an album as solid as this, people will want the full package.

I mean, if we really want to get into semantics here like Gentlemen of the Snow so obviously does, what is a promise? Everything that is written/spoken from the band?

Try no. Not everything they say is a personal promise to you, so don't flatter yourselves.

And as I said, Sir Michael Lepond, god bless his soul did an interview for KWTF World Wide Radio, I'm sure some of you listened or heard about it. Sir Michael Lepond got in shit for that interview, yet it was perhaps it was the biggest update we've had since Russell Allens solo album!

I've been waiting for updates as long as you have, I just think it's such a 'kid in a Toys R Us store' thing to do. You come into a band's forum and whine and expect something in return. I agree that some things shouldn't have been said if the promises weren't gonna be kept but that's hardly Jax's fault. She's just the messenger, and last time I checked this isn't Sparta. Email the management for piss rants, they're directly responsible for your teenage angst.

Hey, DZ, what about my example of a broken promise...sure it was not an explicit promise, but when you are already frustrating your fans (and releasing a grand total of an album's name, with no other info about the album 4 years into said album's production, is indeed frustrating the fans), telling them that you will have info in 2-3 weeks, then 5+ weeks goes by with no more "official info" is pretty lame...

Fact is, the album was leaked about 24 hours ago. he waited just as long as everyone else. It's not like brandon has an in with the band.

If you honestly think the band is keeping information from you for the sake of it, i suggest you stop listening to Symphony X full stop. You are a disservice to everything they work so hard for.

No matter how I felt about a band as people, that wouldnt change how much I like their music. You sir are retarded. As for it being irrational behaviour, I don't feel the same way as him but I can sure as hell understand his point of view. Also, i accept people's choices to take advantage of what's given to them. Why do i accept brandon's choice? because he's paying the money to fly to fucken new york to see the band at bb kings. How's about that? Yeah, doesn't sound like a real fan to me either. How dare he. Probably won't even buy the album when it comes out, and i'm sure he won't buy a t-shirt at the show!

When you say 2-3 weeks, you should have something by the 3rd or AT LEAST the 4th week....it is just plain lame to say that you will (even if it is "likely") have something, then the date rolls around and you have nothing 2 weeks after you said you would have it...

Oh, and as I said before, it's not just this one event, it is that, combined with the military state of the forums when discussing the album and the lack of anything regarding the album (especially when the band COULD have been releasing samples/demo clips from the recording sessions) for 4 straight years....

The fact that the album was not supposed to be leaked means that you cannot use that in your argument. If things went as the band/management had planned, we'd have no updates and no album leak. Try thinking a bit before posting, moron.

yeah, it is hard to wait for the album when your only chance to learn anything about it comes from hearing the leak...I mean, even if the leak merely gave the front and back cover and tracklisting and song times, that is still about 100x more than has been revealed to the actual fans over 4 years time through the band's official site...

Uh... i'm the only one with no tact that's saying you v-tech'd the board. And my point is it's Jax's fault... how about... not at all? The band and/or management had the plan for how they want the album to be released. The band/management has communicated with Jax and told her what to expect and she passes it along to us asap.

Obviously, I've been waiting for this thing since The Odyssey. Anyways, I've voiced my opinion about this already, no use in beating a dead horse. I retire from this thread.
